I had a bigger fascination with film scores back in the day, dunno what's happened to me with them lately.
I DID listen to "The Hours","The Piano" and "Shakespeare in Love"'s scores yesterday while I cleaned my apartment.
Yes, I know this is a random comment lol.

I'm usually very picky about scores; although I write about them a lot on here, I only have a few favourites that I return to constantly. It's just that this year has been particularly good - The Painted Veil, The Fountain, Volver and The Namesake (moved to this year, but I saw it at the fest and fell in love instantly.)

I never was quite taken with the music for The Piano, but then again, I watched the film on a hideous DVD transfer that surely interfered with my experience. Time for a revisit (on the Region 2 disc, that is.)

Some of us feel the same way, though about the film itself...
